Foundation for Personal Financial Education

Will Allen is a Chapter Director for the Foundation for Personal Financial Education, a non-profit educational organization comprised of various financial professionals. Attorneys, Accountants, Financial Advisors, and other financial service professionals conduct instructional workshops on important financial topics, including retirement planning, financial management, estate planning, asset allocation, and more. The Foundation for Personal Financial Education conducts hundreds of workshops a year for companies, organizations, institutions, and associations of all types.

Will holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Georgia. Will also is a Financial Advisor with Financial Partners Wealth Management. He is registered in the states of Georgia, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama and North Carolina. Will is in his 10th year in the Financial Services industry.

Will finds that many professionals simply get caught up in the crisis of everyday business and family concerns, unwittingly postponing their personal and family financial planning and thereby run the risk of sacrificing their current and future security. With a desire to help people plan for their financial futures, Will assists individuals and families of all income levels in identifying their personal and family needs and resources in order to obtain a comfortable level of security for today and tomorrow.

Will is married to his wife Amy and they have 2 sons, Liam and Tate.

Peter Gleichman is the Estate Planning Attorney for the Atlanta chapter of the Foundation for Personal Financial Education. Peter holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law, where he was a member of Law Review. After serving a judicial clerkship for the New Hampshire Supreme Court in 1982-83, Peter began practicing law in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where he was and continues to be licensed in the States of New Hampshire and Maine.

After practicing in New England for 17 years, Peter and his family moved to Georgia in 2000, having become licensed in the State of Georgia the year before, in 1999. Peter practices with the firm of Gleichman & Debranski, LLC in Woodstock. Estate planning has been an integral and essential part of his practice for the last 26 years. Peter is married to his wife Carol, and they have two children, Louisa (23) and Michael (21).

Peter finds great satisfaction is assisting individuals with estate planning in getting their affairs in order and thereby achieving peace of mind. Too many people procrastinate in obtaining even the most basic legal documents such as a last will and testament, financial power of attorney, and advanced directive for health care. The results of not having these important documents can be catastrophic and can be so easily avoided through education about their importance and ease of being put in place.

Don holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Georgia State University. He has over 20 years of experience in tax, accounting, payroll, internal controls, financial analysis, international finance and budgeting and planning. He held several middle management positions in the private sector prior to starting his own tax and accounting practice. Don has been a CPA since May 1997 and is a member of the Georgia Society of CPA’s and the American institute of CPA’s

David Mills brings more than 15 years of real estate and sales experience to The Foundation. David is a Realtor and team leader for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers, with 26 offices around metro Atlanta. As the son of a builder, David’s life experiences have given him a unique eye for quality craftsmanship and the knowledge to look beyond the surface. Being a constant student of his craft has cultivated him into a skilled negotiator and a consummate professional. His professionalism and passion to serve his clients, in concert with his commitment to be a lifelong resource for them, has distinguished him as an award winning Realtor, and ranks him within the top 10 percentile of Realtors in the nation. David is a member of the National Association of Realtors, GAR and the DAR.

Born in Birmingham England, David spent his childhood in England, Jamaica and Boston. David is an alumni of Boston State and Cambridge College, and also served his country in US Air Force. Through hard work and exceptional client service, his parents built a successful business in Boston Massachusetts and instilled an incredible can-do attitude and work ethic in David and his three brothers.

David is a gifted motivator and responsible leader, and for over 6 years, he has been a volunteer and leader/mentor for an inner city youth program, teaching life lessons and leadership principles to local youth. In his spare time, David enjoys kayaking, motorcycle riding, hiking, and traveling.

Katie is the Chapter Coordinator for the Atlanta chapter of the Foundation for Personal Financial Education. Katie has more than 30 years of Administrative Assistant experience working for BellSouth and The Coca-Cola Company in the Atlanta area.

Katie resides in Powder Springs, Georgia with her husband, Stan, of 36 years. They have two children and two grandchildren. In her spare time Katie enjoys reading and sewing.

Bob has a unique level of financial expertise within the mortgage industry. Bob is a certified public accountant and graduated with degrees in both accounting and finance. Through his background and continuing education, he has an understanding of personal finance that is unmatched by most mortgage professionals.

Bob is committed to helping individuals and families plan and manage the home buying and home refinancing process. Bob and his team view each client as a lifetime relationship. After providing mortgage lending services for over 12 years, nearly all of his new clients are referrals from past clients and strategic relationships with CPA’s, financial planners and real estate professionals who know and trust his attention to detail.
