She also has a Masters’ in Business Administration from St. Mary’s College. Ora is a partner in Oak Tree Wealth Management, an independent financial advisory firm, and a Financial Advisor with Associated Securities Corporation. She is registered in the state of California. In addition to providing financial planning services, Ora has a specialty in Long Term Care planning. Her 20 years’ experience in strategic planning for internationally recognized management consulting firms adds a breadth to her consultations with clients. Ora believes educating consumers is fundamental if they are to manage the many diverse aspects of their financial lives. She knows that an educated person makes better decisions and keeps to them even in difficult times. Ora seeks to provide financial education to a broader audience, thereby empowering others to improve their financial world. Ora is a member of the Financial Planning Association’s Northern California Conference Board. She is a past Treasurer on the Board of the Adult Day Services Network of Contra Costa County. Outside work, Ora enjoys long walks in the hills with her Labradors, and enjoys listening to and watching the arts around the world. |

Diane WoodwardFinancial Advisor — Chapter Director 3189 Danville Blvd., Suite 245 View Professional Biography of Diane Woodward… Diane has been teaching financial management to children in the local schools for years. The Foundation for Personal Financial Education represents an opportunity to teach adults who can put this important information to work right away. The essential topics that are taught through the foundation are rarely, if ever, taught in school. Teaching for this foundation is Diane’s effort to combat financial illiteracy. Diane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Diane started in financial planning in 1989. In 1992 she was awarded her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. Diane is a partner at Oak Tree Wealth Management, an independent financial advisory firm. She is an active member of the Financial Planning Association and the Tri-Valley Estate Planning Council. Diane enjoys life with her husband, three sons, and two pugs. |

Robert SilvermanAttorney at Law 3189 Danville Blvd., Suite 245 View Professional Biography of Robert Silverman… Robert (Rob) Silverman, is an attorney at law in his seventeenth year of practice. He is affiliated with Shapiro Buchman Provine LLP (“SBP”), in Walnut Creek, CA, a seasoned law firm with broad expertise in matters applicable to individuals and small-medium size businesses. Rob’s practice focuses on trusts and estates, including probate and trust administration emphasizing estate planning directed toward wealth preservation and enhancement. Prior to practicing law, Rob worked for many years in the field of real estate and business, which enables him to assist clients with real estate and business matters. The Foundation for Personal Financial Education provides Rob an opportunity to educate people about legal issues of practical importance. Rob’s specific focus is on teaching: how to establish an appropriate estate plan; what is the optimal manner for titling one’s home and real estate investment property; and how to protect one’s personal assets from potential real estate and business creditors. Rob has a B.A. in Psychology from U. C. Davis; and a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He is a member (and Board Member, President) of the Estate Planning Council of Diablo Valley; East Bay Estate Planning Counsel; Contra Costa County Bar Association; and Alameda County Bar Association. He also serves on the professional advisory board of several local non-profit organizations. Rob is married, has three children, and enjoys many hobbies. He has a particular passion for travel, and has had the opportunity to travel extensively world-wide. |
